It is commonly know that with the rising growth of the Data Centre economy, efforts to diversify the data centre industry's workforce and addressing the skills gap is becoming more and more significant.
Last year Keysource launched our own University Outreach Program, offering industrial placements to students to try and engage the next generation of engineers and introduce and educate them about the Data Centre Industry. After great success, the Keysource team are taking to the road again and exhibiting at this year’s University of Leicester’s Finalist Careers Fair on Wednesday 27th March.
The Keysource team will be on hand to discuss and offer advice on career opportunities within Keysource, including an overview to career progression through our structured development programmes and information on our flexible benefits.
Stephen Whatling, Managing Director at Keysource said:
"The skills gap within the STEM sectors is well documented, and given the recent growth in the data centre market and the awareness surrounding it, only compounds the challenges. We have been driving the industry to do more to help address this challenge, and our University Outreach Program is just one of the ways we are working to increase awareness and harness the next generation of engineers.
We’ve been working with the University of Leicester for over a decade and as one of the UKs leading research universities, they have a high pedigree of STEM students."
