Keysource Launches Industry Survey

Feb 14, 2019, 9:00:00 AM

The technology landscape is constantly changing, allowing us to take advantage of new innovations, increase productivity and meet personal and commercial goals.

From what were buzz words a few years ago we’re seeing the impact (and real-world potential) of IoT and connected devices. Vehicle automation or at least some iteration (be it adaptive cruise control, self-parking or any number of automated safety features) is included in most new cars, as well as much more.

To support these, we’re seeing edge deployments increase, with integrated AI solutions to overcome the logistical challenges of managing a diverse estate. To increase the amount of IT power that can be harnessed, chip design as well as power and cooling infrastructure is advancing with the likes of liquid chip cooling, and immersive cooling as well as smart software layers that can be used to optimise the space in real time.

However, whilst it is an exciting time, in the mist of all this progress within the industry we wanted to find out whether we as an industry understand end user needs? Should we be doing more to increase transparency within the industry; and as more ‘life critical’ services start to rely on edge and DC deployments – is it time for a standardised data centre blueprint?

Do you work in a senior role for a Data Centre Operator? We would love to hear your views!

Alternatively, if you work for an Enterprise or End User in a senior IT role you can take the survey here:

All data will be anonymous but if you would like to be the first to receive a copy of the report there is an option to fill in your details at the end of the survey.
