Shortlisted for three DatacenterDynamics Awards!

We are really excited following the news that we have been shortlisted for a DCD award in three categories: Modular Deployment of the Year, Data Centre Transformation Project of the Year and Data Centre Critical Environment Team of the Year. Run by DatacenterDynamics, the awards recognise outstanding projects, teams and individuals.

In the Modular Deployment Award category we have been shortlisted for our project with Jaguar Land Rover, the UK’s largest automotive manufacturing business. Our modular design solution meant that the bulk of the production and preparation for this data centre was completed off site, which significantly reduced costs and construction time. Typically a project of this nature would take at least 12 months from initial brief through design to project completion. However by delivering an end-to-end solution backed up by our expertise in modular data centre deployments, this was reduced to just 20 weeks for the full project including design and delivery. The data centre also featured leading edge cooling technology, which delivers high energy efficiency.

In recognition of the highly successful Data Centre Monitoring project we recently delivered for Sky with our partner Schneider Electric, the team behind it has been shortlisted for Data Centre Critical Environment Team of the Year.

This project involved replacing an end-of-life asset-management system and several non-integrated tools with a centralised DCIM system tightly integrated into Sky’s BMS (Building Management System).  Having delivered the project within a live environment, the project has also been shortlisted for Data Centre Transformation Project of the year!

The winners will be announced at the DatacenterDynamics gala dinner in London on 10th December 2015 and our fingers are firmly crossed. We’ve got an excellent track record in delivering world-class data centre solutions and it is fantastic to be recognised for our commitment to quality and innovation.
