DCD London is the longest running conference dedicated to the data centre and cloud infrastructure industry. Now in its 18th year, the 2019 conference runs from the 5th to the 6th November and is set to host over 140 speakers and 1800-plus attendees responsible for the design, build, management and operation of mission critical IT facilities.
A key theme for this year's sessions is 'Energy Smart Infrastructure' and our Associate Director, Steve Lorimer will be sharing his thoughts on data centre sustainability in the modern world.
Sustainability: Just a word or something more?
Sustainability is the hottest topic in the world right now, but in the data centre industry can often be just a word with no substance – especially when operational resilience has been the focus for so many years. But as businesses start to become more aware, are things starting to change?
This session will explore how the market is changing – from the evolution of industry accreditations to how businesses are procuring and evaluating data center operator space. Gain insight into the impact of Edge and the opportunities that can be gained by creating a sustainability led strategy.
You can catch Stephen's conference session in Hall 4 on November 5th at 11:40 a.m. — 12:10 p.m.
Steve joined Keysource in 2003 and leads our team of mechanical and electrical engineers and design consultants. His intimate knowledge of data centre technical requirements alongside his understanding and experience delivering global data centre solutions has seen Steve deliver best in class solutions for our clients for over 16 years. Steve regularly contributes to technical forums and working groups, helping shape the future of the industry both in the UK and worldwide.
